Biblical Mandela Effects
The Mandela Effect in the Bible. In Isaiah 11:6 of the Old Testament, “the lion shall lie down with the lamb” has, before anyone noticed, changed to “the wolf shall dwell with the lamb.” Regarding this, it has been discovered that a certain English-language newspaper/magazine article from 1963 reported as news that the contents of the Bible had suddenly changed. Also, as for the wording of the Bible (or the interpretation of English words), there are claims that the Bible contains familiar, far-too-new words like “alien,” “highway,” or “sandal,” and rebuttals that, for example, the word alien has the meaning of foreigner, and the word highway has the meaning of main road, respectively (indeed, even the English designation for residence cards issued by the Government of Japan to foreigners used to be called “Alien Cards”), and that these words have existed since long ago. However, in the previous world, alien meant only extraterrestrial, highway meant only expressway, and not a few people remember these as words that only appeared quite recently in modern times. In addition, according to explanations by devout believers and clergy, words like “Why didn’t you go and deposit the money at the bank? It would have earned interest,” and “Bring all my enemies who opposed me here and kill them in my presence,” have supposedly appeared in recent years in connection with Jews (who, due to discrimination, came to excel in the financial industry, which was deemed a lowly occupation), and in the New Testament, which was supposed to have negated the Old Testament’s “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
