There are people who remember reading an article saying the late Shinzo Abe had an eldest son. They say that although they originally knew the couple had no children, then (the sense is) sometime around 2020 to 2021 they read on the internet or in a weekly magazine an article saying that there is an eldest son but he isn’t interested in politics, and the parents have no intention of making him succeed them, and the eldest son is an employee at a top-tier company and is currently posted overseas. Ah—so he does have a child, I was surprised thinking I’d been mistaken in thinking they didn’t, and I even told my parents, they say. However, in a later article there was something like “a life without having children,” and they thought, huh? then what on earth was it that I read? (I also thought maybe I was confusing it with something about Abe himself, who had overseas posting experience in the past,) but still, I think it definitely said Abe’s eldest son, they say.
