When Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant decided to discharge into the ocean the treated water from radioactive contamination that had been filtered and reduced to sufficiently low dose levels, many people felt a sense of dissonance, like, wasn’t ocean discharge already being conducted shortly after the disaster. Alternatively, the unit that succeeded in spraying water onto the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor buildings is now the Tokyo Fire Department’s Hyper Rescue (Special Advanced Rescue Team), but it should have been the Self-Defense Forces’ airport fire engine unit, and before that, there was also the story that then-Prime Minister Naoto Kan, drawing on his experience in the student movement, ordered the deployment of the police riot squads’ water cannon vehicles, but they didn’t reach at all, yet there is no evidence material whatsoever for that story. ○ A report from one experiencer. Before 2channel (now 5channel) existed, there was an anonymous board called the Amezo message board (an early anonymous board before 2channel). At the time, on Amezo, threads debating the pros and cons of nuclear power were heating up. At some point, apparently some kind of accident occurred, the anti side gained the upper hand, and several accident-related threads were put up, but since the experiencer was a child back then, they weren’t very interested. Then one day after that, turning on the TV, every channel was doing an emergency special on the JOC criticality accident in Tokaimura, but it was supposedly something that had just happened that very day, so then what were those nuclear accident uproars on Amezo, they wondered, and when they checked Amezo, there were no such threads. In a similar vein, there is also an account that on the same day as the crash of Japan Airlines Flight 123, there was news in the morning of a separate aviation accident (a few people injured), but that one stopped being heard about entirely.
