There is a phenomenon called the returning Mandela Effect. It is the phenomenon in which, shortly after the Mandela Effect is pointed out, it is quietly changed back as if to restore the original. A representative example would be things like the location of the Statue of Liberty in New York, but the journalist Kuroki Akio returned-Mandela’d from being a former officer of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. I remember pointing out on an anonymous forum that this person was being listed as a former Iwate Prefectural Police officer, but it should have been the Metropolitan Police Department, right? After that, it now seems he has returned to being a former officer of the Metropolitan Police Department.
